Purpose of the evaporator in your car

• An evaporator holds the cold refrigerant gas when it’s in a liquid state.
• As warm air moves through the evaporator coils, it removes the heat from the air leaving it cool.
• The cool  air is then circulated through the cabin.
• An evaporator has two main components; the core and the coils.
• The main issues that occurs with evaporators is a leak between the core and coils. The most commons cause of this leak is freezing. An evaporator freezes when there is no warm air passing through.
