An evaporator holds the cold refrigerant gas when it’s in a liquid state.
As warm air moves through the evaporator coils, it removes the heat from the air leaving it cool.
The cool air is then circulated through the cabin.
An evaporator has two main components; the core and the coils.
The main issues that occurs with evaporators is a leak between the core and coils. The most commons cause of this leak is freezing. An evaporator freezes when there is no warm air passing through.
